Belkin Wireless Charging Stand 10W+ Speaker comes with the new Boost Charge technology which is supposed to provide 10W fast charging wirelessly to any Qi-Certified smartphone device. The device is simple yet ergonomically designed and stylish.
The product comes with a power adapter and you have to attach the charging pin into the device and you ready to use the product. It has quite a big easily accessible Bluetooth switch on / pairing button on the back of the speaker.
The material of the device is ABS Plastic and feels solid and strong and yet quite light, just weigh 110grams. The device comes with a dimension of 110mm x 102mm x 106mm. It comes in 2 colors: Black and White.
The Review
When I received the Belkin Wireless Charging Stand 10W+ Speaker, I thought to myself another charging device with a speaker but I was wrong. When I opened up the box and placed the device on my desk and I was impressed with the design, simple and yet very functional.
The design of the cradle/frame holding the smartphone is a little angled backward which helps the smartphone to rest properly on the Qi Charging pad and just behind the charging pad is the enclosed speaker and mic with a nice round cup-like design. The angled design helps you to see your messages, take calls, or even do video conferences while the smartphone is charging. Most of the wireless charging pads available in the market are flat and you have to keep your phone, so if you are getting a call or want to watch some content you have to pick up from the charging pad and use the phone.

Talking about the charging, it uses Belkin’s new Qi Boost Charge technology which 10W and it is good for some brand of the smartphone but I would personally prefer to have more fast charging. The charging started immediately without any delay.
And I was charging the smartphone without removing the back safety panel case. Belkin says it can work thorough, up to 3mm thickness of safety case but has to non-metallic.
It took me around 1hr to charge from a 50% to 100% full battery on a 3650 mAh battery smartphone.
Bluetooth Speaker
As mentioned earlier, it is very simple to connect to the speaker via Bluetooth. Just press the Bluetooth button on the back of the speaker for a few secs and you will be in the pairing mode. As a test, I have paired and unpaired with various Qi-compatible Android smartphones and there was no issue at all. The speaker and mic are enclosed behind the Qi charging pad with a nice round cup shape and the round speaker grill on the top.
The device was tested with various genres of music from R&B, Jazz, Lounge, Trance, Techno, Electronic, Ballad, and Classical. The speaker performed very well on treble and mids as the highs and vocals were very clear and crisp but it lacked in-depth or the rumble of the bass. But for a small speaker and for the price, it was a good listening device and especially on calls and video calls. For the test, used it continuously for more than an hour and the sound of the speaker was not irritating or discomfort to the ears.

With the current COVID19 status and office people are working from home, this could be very good additional to the working table. It is perfect desk companion and for the people who would are on continuous calls and require frequent smartphone charging. With the angle design and you can keep the smartphone vertical or horizontal (landscape), you can do video calls or watch video content for longer duration without holding the phone.
