XPENG-P7Plus-2026-launches-in-the-UAE
XPENG has expanded its electric vehicle line-up in the UAE with the arrival of the new XPENG P7+.
The five-seat electric fastback combines a coupe-inspired profile with the cabin space and luggage capacity expected from a larger family vehicle.
The XPENG P7+ starts at AED 164,000. It is now available for viewing and test drives at XPENG showrooms across the UAE.
This is a launch article based on official information. CriticReviewer has not yet conducted an independent road test of the vehicle.
A Large Electric Fastback with Family-Friendly Space
The XPENG P7+ measures 5,071mm long, 1,937mm wide and 1,512mm high. Its wheelbase stretches to 3,000mm.
These dimensions make it a substantial electric car rather than a compact city EV. However, the long wheelbase should provide generous space for rear passengers.
The luggage compartment offers 573 litres of capacity. Folding the rear seats increases the available space to 1,931 litres.
This configuration should suit airport journeys, family holidays and weekend trips between the Emirates. The wide tailgate also makes loading larger items easier.

Inside, XPENG uses its “Cloudscape” cabin design. The interior includes Nappa leather seats, a microfiber suede-style headlining and 35 storage compartments.
The combination of storage, rear-seat space and luggage capacity gives the P7+ a more practical character than its fastback shape initially suggests. The dimensions and cargo figures appear on the official XPENG UAE product page.
800V Platform and 12-Minute Fast Charging
One of the main highlights is XPENG’s 800V Silicon Carbide high-voltage platform. The vehicle also supports the company’s 5C battery-charging technology.

XPENG claims the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 12 minutes.
However, this figure requires a compatible high-power DC charger and suitable battery conditions. Actual charging times will depend on the charger, temperature and battery level.

Therefore, it would be more accurate to describe this as a best-case charging figure. It should not be treated as the standard time at every UAE charging station.
When the right infrastructure is available, this charging speed could make longer journeys between Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates more convenient.
Digital Cabin and Driver Assistance
The P7+ features XPENG’s Tianji XOS digital cabin platform and its Turing AI processor. It also includes the XPILOT ASSIST driver-assistance system.

According to XPENG, the vehicle offers 14 active safety functions. These systems support areas such as hazard detection, collision prevention and driver awareness.
However, XPILOT ASSIST does not make the P7+ an autonomous vehicle. The driver must remain attentive and ready to take control.

XPENG also states that the vehicle can receive over-the-air software updates. These updates may improve existing features or introduce additional functions.
“The arrival of the P7+ in the UAE represents our unwavering commitment to bringing world-class, AI-driven mobility to this dynamic region,” said Tarek Bedran, Brand Manager UAE, XPENG. “We recognize that drivers in the Emirates demand vehicles that do not compromise on luxury, space, or technological innovation. With the P7+, we are delivering a vehicle that seamlessly transitions from executive business commutes in Dubai to weekend family escapes in Fujairah, all while providing an unparalleled, intelligent driving experience. We are proud to deepen our roots in the UAE community and contribute to the nation’s vision for a sustainable, electrified future.”
RWD and AWD Specifications
The official UAE website lists rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive specifications for the P7+.

The RWD Long Range version can accelerate from zero to 100km/h in a claimed 6.2 seconds. Its listed weight is 2,100kg.
The AWD version reduces the claimed acceleration time to 4.3 seconds. Its listed weight increases to 2,200kg.
Specifications, features and equipment may differ between variants. Buyers should confirm the exact configuration included with the starting price.
Supporting the UAE’s Electric Mobility Plans
The P7+ arrives as the UAE continues expanding its electric vehicle market and charging infrastructure.
The UAE’s National Electric Vehicles Policy aims to increase the share of EVs to 50% of all vehicles on the country’s roads by 2050. The UAE Government outlines this target in its national policy.
However, charging speed represents only one part of the ownership experience. Buyers should also consider insurance, servicing, warranty coverage, home charging and resale value.
UAE Price and Availability
The XPENG P7+ starts at AED 164,000 in the UAE. The vehicle is available for viewing and test drives through XPENG showrooms.

On paper, its strongest highlights include the spacious cabin, flexible cargo capacity and potentially impressive charging speed.
Real-world range, charging performance, ride comfort and driver-assistance behaviour will require an independent road test. For now, the P7+ should be treated as a promising new UAE launch rather than a tested recommendation.
