OPPO has announced the Reno16 Series for the GCC, with confirmed pricing and pre-order details for the UAE. The new family includes the Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G and Reno16 F 5G. UAE prices start at AED 1,799 and rise to AED 3,299 for the Pro model.
The series focuses on cameras, creative AI tools, large batteries and stronger protection against water and dust. However, this is a launch article based on official information. OPPO Reno16 Series UAE prices and availability
Pre-orders in the UAE run from 31 July to 6 August 2026. OPPO has also announced a trade-in promotion at participating UAE retailers from 7 to 16 August. Eligible buyers can receive an additional top-up of up to AED 200 above the assessed value of their working phone.

Pre-order gifts vary by model. Announced bundles include an OPPO Magnetic Case, selected OPPO earbuds, 12 months of screen protection and a 12-month extended warranty. Buyers should confirm the exact bundle and redemption terms with the retailer before paying.

What is different across the three Reno16 models?
The Reno16 Pro is the flagship of this family. It combines a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super processor, 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Its display can reach 144Hz in supported gaming situations.
The standard Reno16 keeps the same compact 6.32-inch screen size but uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform. Its UAE configuration offers 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The Reno16 F is the larger and more affordable option. It uses a 6.57-inch AMOLED display and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processor. It also carries the biggest battery in the family at 7,000mAh.
Camera hardware targets creators and group selfies
All three phones include a 50MP ultra-wide front camera with a 100-degree field of view. This wider framing should make group selfies and travel shots easier, although real image quality will need hands-on testing.
The Reno16 Pro has the highest-resolution main camera at 200MP. It also includes a 50MP telephoto camera with about 3.5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
The standard Reno16 uses three 50MP rear cameras: main, telephoto and ultra-wide. The Reno16 F keeps a 50MP main camera and 50MP telephoto camera, but its ultra-wide camera drops to 8MP.
OPPO also highlights 4K Auto Straighten Video, which is designed to keep moving footage level, and Dual View Video 2.0. Supported recording modes and frame rates differ between models, so buyers focused on video should check the exact specification before choosing.
Creative tools go beyond normal filters
Pop Cam adds Digicam, Instant Film and Light Leak effects inside the camera app. These modes are designed to create a more nostalgic look without moving the image to a separate editing app.
The Photos app gains a Create hub with AI Remix Collage and Popout Collage 2.0. Users can combine photos and short videos, add animated elements, or extract moving subjects from Motion Photos and videos for use as stickers.

The Reno16 Series runs ColorOS 16 and introduces an AI Snap Key. A press opens AI Mind Space, where users can save and organise information shown on the screen.

OPPO lists IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water-resistance ratings across the Reno16 family. Splash Touch and Glove Touch are also intended to keep the display responsive when hands are wet or covered.
These ratings add reassurance for rain, dust and accidental splashes. They do not make a phone indestructible, and water resistance can reduce over time. Buyers should check OPPO’s warranty conditions before deliberately exposing any device to water.
OPPO Bubble is an unusual camera companion
Alongside the phones, OPPO announced the Bubble at AED 499. The 35-gram magnetic accessory has an AMOLED display and can show a live preview from the phone’s rear camera. It can also work as a remote viewfinder and shutter control from up to 10 metres away.
