In the hot summer of Dubai, where the temperature reaching 45C° to 50C° and invariably you stay more indoors than roaming outside except you are driving to work or out for meetings. But again mostly, you are 75% indoor and you are breathing air-conditioned air. Our assumption is that the air we are breathing is clean air and you are safe from pollution (dust, pollens and microorganism) which is floating in the air.
Around 3 weeks back, I was given Blueair Purifier Joy S for review and as it is summertime and I am in the indoor with closed windows and door and the split AC is On.
I have kept the Blueair Purifier Joy S, switched ON for 24/7 for the 3 weeks. And I was astonished by the amount of fine dust was collected on the filter of the Joy S. (Please Note: I had recently cleaned my air filter on the AC unit)
Blueair Purifier Joy S is 433 X 200 X 200 mm cylindrical design, weighing 2.4 kgs and body is made of ABS matt finish plastic.
It has 1 big filter in the Blueair Purifier Joy S which has to be changed from the bottom side of the unit in a simple locking system.
The whole system of purifying the air is run by the 6-inch silent fan. The air is sucked in the system from 360°. The pure air is pushed from the top side. It has 3 levels of air control. It consumes electricity from 1.5W to 10W, depending on the airspeed level you have chosen on the unit.
Blueair Air Purifier Joy S has a manual operation which one single button on the top with 3 levels of airspeed and white LED indication.
Blueair Purifier Joy S is perfect for Studio apartments with a room size of 172 sqft. It can pull in Smoke, Dust, Pollen and give fresh clean air. This particular product doesn’t have any Ion generator but clean air.
To check the air quality and working of the Blueair Purifier Joy S, we were provided with Blueair Aware air quality sensor unit which helped me to study the change of air quality and other functions like humidity, temperature. After connecting the Blueair Aware device with the electrical outlet downloaded the Blueair Friend app to track changes. With the device, I could get the outside air data and indoor change of level of air quality.
Blueair Purifier Joy S is simple air purifier which is just connected to the electrical socket and switch on to your desire 3 levels of airspeed. As the product weighs 2.4kg, I have been using the product near the bed as I would prefer to have clean air sleep. During these few sleeping hours, we are unaware of the changes in the air quality or anything happening around you.
Who should be buying this product?
Blueair Purifier products are used for clean air environment for indoor use. People who have dust allergy, pollen allergy or no proper ventilation in the room or even if you have pets. If you are staying near construction sites, or place where there are smoke and dust pollution. Even place like in UAE where most of the people stay in Air-conditioned houses, they may require it as the AC vent is also pushing pollen and fine dust from AC Vent.
Conclusion
Blueair Purifier Joy S is the good product for Studio or room size of 172sqft. It makes a difference in the air quality which you can’t see but can see it on the filter which shows the number of pollutants it has grabbed on the filters. Recommended for people with Asthma, Dust, Pollen, hair allergy.
It is a simple one-button operation manually operated unit. there is no Bluetooth connective or any display feature on the unit except for the circular white LED light indicator for the speed of the fan. There are no sensors to measure the air level quality or determine the quality of change of air in the room. For this, you need to have an additional unit like the Blueair Adware.
Priced at AED699 it is a great product for clean air in your house and also when it comes to better health there is no cost which can value it.
