HP Omen- Stylish Screen back cover
If all of you have been to GITEX Shopper, HP has big stand in Stand Z6-4 in the center of the GITEX Shopper exhibition. There are lot of interactive games, like you have your picture taken with new Sprocket printing device and as well as ride the tough, rotating chair which has smoke and wind blast hitting while trying to play a game on the HP OMEN gaming laptop.
I have the opportunity to have interview with Peter Oganesean – Regional Manager of HP for UAE, Iraq and East Africa.
Q: What does GITEX Shopper mean for HP?
GITEX for HP is one of the most important event during the year. For us there are two GITEXs, the GITEX Shopper for the consumers and GITEX Trade (Technology Week) pretty much commercial. GITEX Shopper is an opportunity for HP to interact with the consumers, passing on the message to consumer not only through retail but interacting with them directly face to face. We got lot of promoters, they have been trained by HP to talk to consumer at the HP stand in the GITEX Shopper and showcase most of our HP products in PC and print.
Q: What will consumer see at the HP stand in Gitex Shoppers?
We have been having HP stand for couple of years and we would be showcasing our full portfolio of products with lot of new introductions. We would be showcasing our full range of our OMEN gaming portfolio and as well as premium, thin and line products which we have recently introduced in the market. So consumer will be able to see the full range of PC’s including new range of gaming and also showcasing the full range of printing devices as well… we will be introduce new colors in the smallest All-in-One which we had introduced last year and this year we will introducing new colors, red and blue. We will be also introducing Sprocket which is red color. Consumer will be able to come, see, select and buy the product, that is the most convenient part of the event.
Q: What can consumer expect in GITEX Shopper from HP?
GITEX shopper traditional always been place for great interaction with consumer and special offers via distributors and retailers at the venue. For sure it is great opportunity for the consumer to buy any electronic or IT product with great deals. This year also there would interesting offers and attractions and competitions for the consumers at the HP Stand.
Q: Is there any particular product you would like to highlight for GITEX Shopper?
From the offer perspective, I would rather share with what are we focusing on product line like the OMEN gaming series is one of the important category we would be focusing on, there would be proper display of gaming products at the stand and information about the product for the customer. We would be emphasising about our convertible range, products that are 360 from the 360 range. We would be introducing good, thin and line products, so basically we would be having offers on the products displayed at the stand but would like to showcase our new product and I would say… different product from everyday use.
Q: What did growth expected from GITEX this compared to last year?
Last month was good due to “Back to School” and there was good feedback from consumer and if you talk about expectation from GITEX, we expect flat number like Year-On-Year growth that we have managed to delivery last year and expect the same for this year. The priority for this year is not on numbers but putting emphasise on the OMEN products that we are introducing and the refreshing the thin and line product since summer which we emphasise since past few quarters.
Q: You like to emphasise more the OMEN Gaming series?
Absolutely! Gaming is very important to us but so is the thin and line products. At the GITEX, It is experience which we like to provide to our consumer before they buy the HP product and they can see the range and depend on their budget they can choose right product.
Q: Will HP have special offers outside the GITEX Shopper with retailers and Online?
Offers will vary and it is all about the partnership with retailers online or offline. GITEX Shopper offer would be different from outside retailers pricing and online pricing. Each retail partner has it own way to push the sale with bundle offers.
HP would be also be participating in the GITEX Technology Week and there Stand No: A5-5
