Design and Build

The Roam 2 feels solid in your hand. It’s got that premium SONOS vibe without being overly flashy. The rounded edges and soft-touch finish make it super comfortable to hold, even when wet (yes, it’s waterproof!). It’s available in a range of colours, so there’s something for everyone.
The controls are simple and intuitive. The new dedicated Bluetooth button is a game-changer, making it super easy to connect your phone without messing around with the app.
Sound Quality – Surprised Me!
Honestly! I didn’t expect the excellent quality of sound coming from a pocket-size Bluetooth speaker. You might be surprised by the sound that comes out of this tiny package. The SONOS Roam 2 delivers a surprisingly rich and balanced sound. Vocals are clear, highs are crisp, and the bass is surprisingly deep for a speaker this size. Trueplay tuning ensures the sound is optimized for your environment, whether you’re indoors or outdoors.

You may not get earth-shattering bass like you’d get from a larger speaker, but for its size, the Roam 2 holds its own. Perfect for everything from podcasts to pop music. For testing, I kept the volume at 50% and 80% of the volume and worked beautifully. Even tested at 100% the Treble and Mids. was loud and the bass was less but didn’t have distorted sound.
Battery Life and Charging

SONOS claims a 10-hour battery life, and that seems about right. It’s enough to get you through a day of outdoor adventures without worrying about running out of juice. The wireless charging feature is a nice touch, but it’s not super-fast. If you are not using the device for a long time then it will go to standby mode which extends the battery life and you switch on by clicking the power button once. It can be charged Wireless on a QI Charging device, you can buy the SONOS Roam wireless charger which has a magnetic wireless charging base which perfectly matches the design of the ROAM 2.
Features and Functionality
The SONOS Roam 2 can be connected to a WI-FI network by which the device seamlessly integrates with the SONOS ecosystem, so if you’ve got other SONOS speakers, you can group them for a multi-room listening experience. Voice control with Alexa or Google Assistant is also supported.

The IP67 rating means you can take it to the beach, pool, or even the shower without worrying about water damage. It’s also dustproof, so you can take it on camping trips without a worry. But for people who want more protection and stylish carry-around, they can additionally purchase the Otter Box Case for the SONOS Roam 2.
