SOUNDPEATS CLIP1

Summary
The SOUNDPEATS Clip1 open-type earbuds in the UAE. Lightweight design, clear sound, long battery life and great comfort for daily use and workouts.
Introduction
SoundPEATS is a relatively young brand founded in 2010. It is known for creating high-quality audio products at an affordable price. The SOUNDPEATS Clip1 is a wireless open-type earbud designed to clip onto your ears for a comfortable and secure fit. This design is ideal for users who dislike traditional in-ear earbuds.
The Clip1 is their latest open-type model. In the past, the brand also sent me the PearlClip Pro, Pop Clip and GoFree2 for review. All performed well in their respective categories.
Design & Specifications
The SOUNDPEATS Clip1 review unit arrived in a white box with images of the earbuds. Silver embossed text appears on the sides and back. The case features a capsule-style design with rounded edges and a flat bottom.

The box opens from the top. Inside, you will find a paper tray that holds the device, a USB Type-C cable, a Quick Guide and the User Manual.
SOUNDPEATS Clip1 – Charging Case

My review unit came in Metallic Dark Grey, although the brand lists the colour as Black. The top cover features a gold plate with the SOUNDPEATS logo. The charging case comes with dimensions of 71.5×49×35mm. A small LED light sits at the front to indicate charging and pairing.

The back of the case houses a USB Type-C charging port and a reset/pairing button. The charging case supports fast charging. The entire case is made of ABS plastic. Its flat base gives it a pebble-like shape with rounded edges.

The Clip1 case includes a 450 mAh battery. It fully charges the earbuds in two hours and provides up to 30 hours of playtime. The case weighs 55.5 grams, making it easy to carry. It supports wired charging, which takes around 4 hours and does not support wireless charging.
Opening the case reveals printed certifications on the inner side. Magnetic pins inside keep the earbuds securely in place during charging.
SOUNDPEATS Clip1 – Earbuds

The Clip1 earbuds are lightweight and designed with an ergonomic open-ear clip made from 50% skin-friendly liquid silicone. The material feels soft and comfortable on the skin. Inside the clip is a 0.6mm ultra-thin nickel-titanium alloy (memory) wire that maintains its shape after repeated use.
The earbuds use shiny black ABS plastic combined with liquid silicone. They consist of two parts: the speaker and the battery unit. The battery section features a silver SOUNDPEATS logo and a rounded-rectangle design. This section sits behind the earlobe when worn.
The speaker unit is almost round with a matte finish on the inner side. A grille sits on the outer side. The build quality feels solid due to the mix of plastic, silicone and metal.
Each earbud weighs only 5 grams. They feature φ12 mm dual-magnet dynamic drivers with titanium PVD coating for strong bass response across the 20 Hz – 20 kHz range.

The earbuds support HSP, HFP, A2DP and AVRCP protocols. They work with Dolby audio for movies, which supports immersive 3D sound and supports codecs like AAC, SBC and LDAC. Each earbud includes a 45 mAh battery and delivers up to 30 hours of playtime when recharged using the case. On a single charge, you get 8 hours of playtime on 60% volume.
They come with an IPX5 water-resistance rating, making them safe against sweat and light splashes. Bluetooth 5.4 offers a reliable range of up to 10 meters. It earbuds come with AeroVoice Wind Noise Reduction and AI-powered ENC Noise Cancellation.
The AutoSense smart L/R Channel Adaptation detects which ear each earbud is placed in and adjusts channels instantly. You can also use a single earbud independently.

The earbuds support wear detection. A quick 10-minute charge provides up to two hours of playtime. The SOUNDPEATS suggest there will be a future firmware update which will provide Earbud Drop Detection.
Touch controls let you manage playback, calls and track changes from either earbud. The touch control works on the S logo, the driver, and the stem. You can customise these controls using the Peats Audio App. Volume control can also be assigned through the app.
Customisation – Peats Audio App
Download the Peats Audio App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once downloaded, remove the earbuds from the case. Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and pair “SoundPEATS Clip1.”
After pairing, open the app. The Clip1 will appear automatically. Check for firmware updates and complete them if available.

The app displays battery levels, EQ modes and other settings. The Equalizer Section allows you to create custom sound profiles. Ensure both earbuds are outside the case, or EQ options may not appear.
The top-right settings menu displays device information and firmware status. A new addition is the “Find Earbuds” feature. It plays a low chime to help locate the earbuds. However, it is less effective outdoors due to ambient noise. The map location feature did not work consistently during my testing.
The app occasionally shows delays when opening the EQ page, especially in Adaptive EQ mode. However, performance has improved significantly compared to past versions. The “Find Earbuds” feature now responds faster and offers adjustable chime volume.
Microphone Performance

I tested the SOUNDPEATS Clip1 using Google Meet. My brother reported that my voice sounded natural and clear. His voice also sounded natural on my side. The microphone captures speech effectively, making it suitable for voice and video calls.
Sound Quality
The Clip1 features φ12 mm dynamic drivers and a built-in microphone. The sound quality is clear with strong bass for an open-type design. The Peats Audio App allows you to adjust bass and treble using EQ settings.

As an open-type earbud, the Clip1 does not include ANC. However, the bass is impressive for its design. The audio performance comes close to traditional in-ear earbuds. While testing on the road, I remained aware of my surroundings while enjoying my music.
Comfort
Comfort is crucial for long listening sessions, and the Clip1 performs exceptionally well. Each earbud weighs just 5 grams. They feel almost unnoticeable during use.

The open-ear design does not block the ear canal, allowing air to flow naturally. This makes them ideal for long workouts, outdoor activities and extended daily use. The earbuds remain secure even during movement.
I tested them while lying down and experienced no discomfort. I even drifted into sleep while listening to my favourite ballads and nature sounds.
Price, Packaging and Value
The SOUNDPEATS Clip1 is priced at Soundpeats.com AED 257.04 and Amazon.ae. The packaging feels premium and well-designed. Inside the box, you receive the earbuds, charging case, USB Type-C cable, Quick Guide and User Manual.

For the price, the Clip1 offers impressive sound quality, reliable build quality and useful features. It delivers excellent value for anyone seeking budget-friendly open-type earbuds.
Conclusion

The SOUNDPEATS Clip1 wireless open-type earbuds are affordable, comfortable and feature-packed. They are IPX5-rated, lightweight and supported by the Peats Audio App for EQ tuning. The sound quality is excellent for the price. These earbuds are perfect for daily audio use, office calls and indoor or outdoor exercise.
