The Review – Model – CPH2531
The device that I have received for review is Ice Blue and the back panel is made of glass with a matt finish but it is smooth to the touch and the best part it doesn’t leave any finger smudges on the panel.

With the ~89.6% screen-to-body ratio, the bezel of the phone is thin and almost merges with the frame of the phone. The curved back panel and display make the phone sleek and very thin. The only thing you will notice is in the top area where it houses the single-lens camera in punch hole type embedded in the screen.
The display is optimized for fluidity with a refresh rate that goes up to 120Hz, and a touch-sampling rate of up to 240Hz, ensuring that every swipe and scroll feels remarkably smooth in a mostly optimized user interface and a lag-free gaming session

Viewing this display under direct sunlight was no slouch either with a peak brightness that can reach 800 nits,
Oppo Reno10 5G is a mid-range premium smartphone created for the audience who is looking for a good camera and work-horse phone.

The front camera is a single 32MP (f/2.4, 22mm (wide)) and the photo resolution is 2448 x 3264px at 72dpi. The camera comes with a sensor for instant Face detection and auto tracking and the supports Bokeh effect. The camera in selfie photo mode also supports at least 2 face recognition with AI. In video mode too, the camera supports multiple face recognition and via face lock, the camera lens remains focused on the subject which is great for vloggers.

Some of the additional features of the front selfie camera under photo mode, in the AI setting, Auto Smile Capture and the palm gesture, so when you hold your open palm in front of the front camera, it gives you a 3-sec count and clicks a selfie. Multi-Video option where you can record with main cameras and selfie camera recording simultaneously. You can record videos at 1080p@30fps. And you can shoot 1080x 1920 px video at 30fps. Oppo Reno10 5G – Main Cameras

The back panel of the Oppo Reno10 5G houses the dual cameras. The camera modules are designed on a capsule design which little is jutting out of the body. The capsule design is placed on the top left side of the smartphone. The 64MP camera is placed in the top of the capsule and one side has the 32MP camera and the other 8MP camera, A dual LED light is placed in the centre of the capsule. The triple cameras consist of 64 MP, f/1.7, 25mm (wide), 1/2″, 0.7µm, PDAF, 32 MP, f/2.0, 47mm (telephoto), 1/2.74″, 0.8µm, PDAF, 2x optical zoom and 8 MP, f/2.2, 112˚ (ultrawide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm.

It also has the pro mode where you can do manual adjustment of exposure value (EV), white balance (WB), Focus (AF), Exposure (ISO), Shutter speed and meter bracketing. The ISO works from 100 to 6400 and the shutter speed from 30 to 1/8000. You can shoot images in 0.6 (wide angle), 1x and 2x and have a digital zoom of 20x.

The 32MP telephoto lens expands your creative possibilities, as it features a 2x hybrid optical zoom and a digital zoom that defaults to 5x but can go up to 20x. And for selfie lovers, it boasts a 32MP front-facing camera, adequate for video calls, and maybe even live video hosting with a proper lighting setup. Just keep in mind that the front-facing sensor does not feature AF, so remember to tap to focus on your subjects when taking selfies.
Under Video mode, you get 1x and 2x and a digital zoom of 10x. There mode called Street Mode which I have not seen in other smartphones which provides 26mm to 130mm, which looks like preset zoom which comes along dual focus face tracking.
Operating System and Software

The operating system of Oppo Reno10 5G has the latest Android 13 as the operating system with the ColorOS 13.1. So, with Android 13.0, the Oppo Reno10 5G has all the latest features like AI beautification, creamy Bokeh for portraits, and AI recognition of up to 500 scenes. It uses MediaTek MT6877V Dimensity 7050 (6 nm)+ (GPU) Mali-G68 MC4 with 8GB RAM + 4GB (Turbo RAM) and 256 GB ROM internal storage for the UAE market.
Android 13 also helps in better more accurate facial brightness, contrast for selfies on the front cameras and scene-by-scene optimizations for shots taken on the rear and enhancing the photography effects. There was no major lag between screens or scrolling the apps, it was quite smooth and fast.
The Reno10 5G comes with Android 13 and Oppo’s ColorOS 13.1 on top. In a usual Oppo fashion, the phone is preloaded with apps like games, Amazon, Netflix, Yango and others, which can be of course removed. Overall ColorOS 13.1 bring good features like Smart Always-On Display, which allows you to control apps without the need to unlock the display, and other features like Clone Phone, IR Remote, O-Relax, and more.
Sound & Audio
Oppo Reno10 5G has a single-side speaker grill but you can hear sound coming from the bottom side when you are holding the smartphone vertically and horizontally.

The trebles, mid-level was clear and the bass was decent for the value of the smartphone. The volume is quite clear. The device comes with two mics – on top and bottom and on the bottom beside the USB Type C charging port.
Oppo Reno10 5G was tested with various types of videos played and different genres of music and it passed above average compared to other competitors in a similar price range.
During the Stereo test, I found the sound quite loud and good only when it came to the balance of sound while holding the device in landscape mode,
(Please note: The smartphone was held at a distance of 1- 2 feet while testing the audio quality)
Connectivity & Battery
The smartphone has a fingerprint sensor, face detection, pattern and pin for accessing the smartphone. The Smartphone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth which supports 5.3, A2DP, LE, and aptX HD. The smartphone comes with a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery which can last more than 2+ days with average usage. Oppo Reno10 5G was tested on various benchmarks. The Geekbench result – Single-Core Score – 951, Multi-Core Score – 2459. 3DMark result – 2299 and PCMark result – 9042.
Conclusion
Oppo Reno10 5G is a good smartphone for the price, the phone is a mid-range with all the great features for gaming, and watching online entertainment. The built quality and colour make the phone very rich and stylish. The display screen and body are very strong and reliable As for the selfies, the single 32MP lens can make a difference with the Ai function which can give a very nice creamy Bokeh effect and focus on your face with auto tracking when clicked on the screen for focus. It has a quick and sharp focus system.

With 256GB ROM is quite good enough for storage and with the Dual Card SIM Tray, it is a good smartphone for the price and can run for the money to its competitors.
The daylight shot was sharp and good and 32MP selfies were natural and the colour output was great. The zoom is 20x but would suggest that at its maximum started to distort.
Under low light or night photography, the output was good with the colour saturated with the AI.
Overall, for the price and in the Mid-range phone, it is a good buy for the consumer.
