BenQ Zowie XL2746S for Content Creators – Image Editing
For a content creator, the most important thing while using a monitor is the resolution, colour and size.
With the display size of 27inchs, it was thrilling in working on the big monitor in a distance of 2ft from the chair or eye level. The LCD (TN) panel was soothing to the eyes even working for long hours.
Even with the resolution gave 1920 x 1080px, it didn’t make a major difference in working on image edition. The colour was vibrant and the text was crisp, no doubt this is not colour corrected monitor but as a creative artist, I have the knowledge to colour calibrated the monitor to suit my needs. Actually, there was no major difference in the colour calibration and the way the monitor was sent to us for review.
BenQ Zowie XL2746S comes with a pair of shields which was helpful as it avoids surrounding light affecting the screen display. The shields come with a spring-loaded screw which is a very easy to fix and remove. I could concentrate on my work during the daytime without getting affected by the sunlight as my work table is placed near the French window.
Another feature of the monitor was the S-Switch button which was convenience, as I could use the input to toggle between the different colour setting which included B&W which helped me to check the brightness and contrast of the image
The versatile stand was another advantage as I could adjust the height, direction and angle of the monitor as per my choice.
BenQ Zowie XL2746S for Content Creators – Video Editing
As a content creator, I have reviewed the monitor as a secondary monitor for my editing console.
As most of you are aware of video editing and colour correction, it is better to have a large size monitor and colour calibrated one.
With the 27inchs display, it was great to help again while editing. The BenQ Zowie XL2746S was connected to my system as a secondary display and shifted my editing timeline some of the features on the monitor. Here again, the S-Switch came handy to check the Brightness and Contrast in one press of the input button. Even working for long hours, I didn’t feel tiredness in my eyes.
BenQ Zowie XL2746S for E-Gaming
I played for few hours of game on the BenQ Zowie XL2746S monitor. In the Call of Duty game, the Black eQualizer was very helpful as I could enhance the dark areas which helped to identify the enemies faster and also with the DyAc⁺ switch On, the blurring looked less compared switched Off mode.
I could not test the Monitor’s 240Hz quality as my system only supported 120Hz and on secondary monitor mode supported at 60Hz.
The frame of the monitor has a special coating similar to matt finish which avoids unwanted reflection glares from the surrounding light and display.
The monitor comes with a very functionally ‘push-to-slide-out’ headphone hanger.
Versatile Stand & Controls
With the versatile stand you can change the monitor to a vertical position and also it helps to connect the necessary cables easily without bending looking under the monitor. Also gives the option to change the height, angle and direction of the monitor with ease.
The controls are on the bottom right side of the monitor on the frame which meagres with the frame avoiding distraction while using the monitor and you have S-Switch device by which you can also access all the functions of the monitor. The only lit up is the power button on the extreme right.
BenQ Zowie XL2746S monitor is great monitor, as I have used for Image, Video Editing and even played few games, there was no tiredness in the eyes after hours of usage. 27inchs display size was great advantage for all the above review.
The price of the monitor is little higher compared to other brands but if you require e-sport level monitor then you have to spend more compared to regular monitors available in the market.
