My Experience

The SOUNDPEATS RunFree Open-Ear Headphones come with manual buttons which are placed behind the ear unit which houses the controls. There are 3 buttons – plus, minus and play icons on the buttons. The centre play button also functions for power On/Off, play and stop music. There was little trouble getting used to manual buttons behind the ear as my hand kept going on my earpiece for control. Maybe I have been reviewing a lot of touch-control function-based headphones and earbuds. But once I got the hang of it there was no issue, still would prefer to use the control from the SOUNDPEATS app.

The design of the headphones is nice, and light and hanging around my ear didn’t feel any issues. The neckband was an advantage for me, so when I am not using the headphones I could keep it hanging around my neck and not get worried about losing it which may happen in the case of earbuds.

During my sound test the SOUNDPEATS RunFree Open-Ear Headphones performed very well in the normal mode and for people wanting extra bass around the ear, it is excellent when you switch on the bass boost mode on the app. While using it for video calls and audio calls, I could hear the opposite person and verified my voice quality with the opposite person and there was very little drop in audio quality. Even at full volume, the headphone’s audio was great and didn’t feel harsh.
Soundpeats App comes with the 9 preset set of Equalizer. As for the sound quality, the SOUNDPEATS RunFree Open-Ear Headphones were nice with the bass boost ON. I was impressed with the sound quality and range of the Treble Mids and Bass for open-type headphones. Of course, I can’t expect very low rumbles compared to in-ear headphones or fully ear-covered headphones. For the price, it performed very well.
I would suggest users manually adjust the equalizer to their sound setting for better listening preference, especially consumers who want a lot of bass in their music.
Who should be buying the SOUNDPEATS RunFree Open-Ear Headphones?

SOUNDPEATS RunFree Open-Ear Headphones are perfect for adventurous consumers, who would like to listen to their music or talk while still being aware of the surroundings as the headphones don’t block your ear. This headphone would be good for the consumer who is not comfortable with their ear canal blocked with earbuds. Also, I would suggest open-ear wireless headphones for consumers who do heavy, exhausting workouts. As such headphones don’t block the airway as it helps to keep the air pressure level normal between the ears and avoid blackout or loss of balance.
Price & Overall Experience

SOUNDPEATS RunFree Open-Ear Headphone is priced at AED 135. The SOUNDPEATS RunFree is a good pair of open-ear wireless headphones for sports and outdoor activities. They are comfortable to wear, have a good sound profile, and a long battery life. It is a good buy with Bluetooth 5.3 version, 10-meter distance and 17 hours of battery life. And most important it is very light and could wear it for a long time. The headphone has a bright and clear sound profile and while making audio calls, it worked out excellent.
For the price, it is an excellent buy for workout, sports and outdoor activities and it is IPX4 rated (waterproof, resisting light rain and sweat)
Please note: I had kept the level of the volume on the smartphone to half. And request and recommendation to all users, keep your volume half and let your brain and ear drum adjust as per your requirement. Continuous high-volume listening may damage your eardrums and chances to have hearing loss.
