We have received the BenQ GW2480T -Eye-Care Monitor for Students and BenQ ScreenBar e-Reading LED Task Lamp for review
This is the first time I have received a Monitor LED Lamp bar and I wondered, why do I require it with a monitor. But when I reviewed the device and I was impressed with the design, looks and usages.
The devices come in a neat box and the parts are placed in the box with the details mentioned with a diagram. There are 3 parts which have to be assembled to use the product. There is the Clip which is placed on the monitor, the LED lamp bar which is attached with the clip and has the controls and the USB Type- C cable which is used to power the LED lamp.
The Review
The BenQ ScreenBar e-Reading LED Task Lamp comes with a dimension of 45cm x 9.0cm x 9.2cm. The device is made up of Aluminum alloy, Polycarbonate and has Illuminance of 1000 Lux in the centre (height 45cm) with Luminous Flux of 320lm. It has a dual colour LED lights which help to create the colour temperature between 2700~6500K and uses 5V USB port power.
The installation of the lamp was quite simple, just connect the LED lamp to the clip and then attach the USB Type C cable via the slot on the clip and the other USB Type-A side to the power source.
The review was done with GW2480T monitor as I had both the products at the same time.
It was useful as I have a habit of working late at night and now, I can work without using the home lights. Especially, in the dark with just lighting up the desk area which helped me to work better. Also, it reduced the strain on my eyes too as it added more ambient light around the monitor area. The lamp could be turned to add more light in the desktop area or concentrated on the monitor.
Lamp LED light temperature could be controlled manually or can be set to automatic by the sensor dedicates the light condition of the surrounding area and decides the temperature and luminousness of the LED lights.
Conclusion
The BenQ ScreenBar e-Reading LED Task Lamp is a great product for long hour working reducing the strain on the eyes. Also, add enough ambient light around the desk area which helps to see around the area.
Suggestion for Consumer: Instead of buying a side lamp for your desk, this product can be a good accessory for your monitor. Even for a gaming desk area, this could be a great help from reducing the strain on the eyes.
