At a media event at Huawei office in Media City in Dubai, the Huawei team introduced the latest mid-range smartphone in Nova series – Huawei Nova 5T. The Nova series takes its name from both “innovation” and “new star” in Latin, a design philosophy incorporated into the series’ line up and the HUAWEI nova 5T continues this tradition and adds a new identity, which is a unique take on traditional typography to create a trendy “nova” monogram. The HUAWEI nova 5T is powered by Android, which allows users full and ongoing access to their favourite and most popular apps for a more immersive experience.

Quad Camera – 48MP Five AI Cameras for Multi-Scenario Photography
HUAWEI nova 5T equipped with four rear AI cameras that support high-definition, ultra-wide-angle, macro, and depth of field photography. The HUAWEI nova 5T is able to capture rich and clear images within a single shot in all scenarios, from vast landscapes to close-up shots. It also combines AI-powered image semantic segmentation and partition optimization technology with the 48MP HD lens, 16MP wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP bokeh lens, which can clearly present details in the photo and balance the exposure under all lighting conditions.
The smartphone has AI-enhanced photography technologies such as AI Image Stabilization (AIS), AIS Super Night Mode, AI HDR+ backlit photo, Auto Exposure Lock (AEL) and Auto Focus Lock (AFL) combine to ensure images are sharp and detailed in any shooting condition, even low light. The powerful AI system is also capable of recognizing up to 22 scenes, automatically adjusting the settings required for a perfect shot. HUAWEI nova 5T users also benefit from powerful video making features. The HUAWEI nova 5T is powered by the Kirin 980 AI processor and comes with 8GB of RAM. Together with the powerful EMUI 9.1 operating system, the components combine to offer a lag-free, fluid experience equal to high-end models. This is supported by 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage making it perfect for storing large amounts of photos and videos. The HUAWEI nova 5T runs on Android and brings with it a wide range of user-favourite apps out of the box.

New brand identity in a style-centric monogram
The new HUAWEI nova 5T continues this tradition and adds a new identity, refreshing the series, which is a unique take on traditional typography, rearranging the letters in “nova” to create a youthful monogram. Alternatively, the new logo can also be seen as two people, with the person on the left reaching out to the person on the right for an embracing gesture, symbolizing enthusiasm, optimism and vitality. Meanwhile, the figure on the right is an embodiment of the nova’s forward-looking nature, brimming with confidence.
Huawei continues to push the boundaries of mobile handset design with the HUAWEI nova 5T. A refined finish provides a unique texture and accentuates lighting contrasts, creating a multi-layered 3D effect on a flat surface. An enhanced reflective design lends a holographic look to each phone. The HUAWEI nova 5T has a 6.26-inch HUAWEI Punch FullView Display and weighs just 174 grams thanks to its wafer-thin 7.87 mm thickness, offering an immersive display on a slender body.
The handset is available in – Crush Blue, Black and Midsummer Purple. The Midsummer Purple features the nova star symbol engraved on an elegant purple glass case, which refracts light to produce shimmering waves of contrasting colour and shadow.

The new HUAWEI nova 5T is available in 3 colour variants, a classy and elegant Black, a sea-inspired Crush Blue and vibrant Midsummer Purple with the new nova monogram pattern.
Consumers will be able to pre-order HUAWEI nova 5T starting 22nd October and can purchase the device across Huawei experience stores, select retailers in the UAE on 31st October at a price of AED1599.
