TOZO HA1 Bluetooth 5.4 Headphones
Summary
The TOZO HA1 Bluetooth 5.4 ENC headphones review highlights impressive sound quality, long-lasting comfort, and budget-friendly pricing at just $29.99.
I recently received the new TOZO HA1 over-the-ear headphones for review. TOZO, as a brand, has been consistently improving and listening to its audience, releasing the latest devices to meet consumer needs while keeping an affordable price range in mind. In the past, I have reviewed many TOZO wearable products, including earbuds (both close-type and open-type), headphones, and smartwatches. I have always been impressed with their packaging, the quality of their devices, and their budget-friendly pricing compared to competitors.
The new TOZO HA1 is quite similar to the TOZO HT2, which I reviewed recently, but it comes with some changes and is priced more attractively for consumers.
Design & Specification

The TOZO HA1 review unit arrived in a white box featuring images of the device in four different colours, with details and colours listed on the sides and back. The device is securely packed with black foam and comes in a white, eco-friendly bag. The bag contains the TOZO HA1 headphones, a 3.5mm audio cable, and a USB Type-A to USB Type-C charging cable.
The unit I reviewed is in matte black, with the TOZO logo displayed slightly off-centre on the ear cups in shiny black. The entire body is made of ABS plastic, while the headband includes a steel band for added durability. The ear cups and the centre of the headband are covered in synthetic vegan leather with memory foam padding, and the inner covering is made of a thin black memory foam, with “L” and “R” clearly marked on the respective ear cups. The headband itself is adjustable and provides a sleek and stylish design that balances comfort with great sound. The build quality feels solid, thanks to the combination of plastic and metal components. The foldable design also adds to its portability, making it easy to store while travelling.
The controls on the TOZO HA1 are placed on the right ear cup, while the left ear cup remains clean. On the right side, you’ll find the power button, which also serves as the Bluetooth connectivity control when pressed for a longer duration. There’s also a long volume rocker, a 3.5mm jack port, a USB Type-C port, and a dedicated equalizer button that offers three audio modes: Standard, Clear Treble, and Deep Bass.
Sound Quality of TOZO HA1

The TOZO HA1 is equipped with 40mm composite titanium-plated diaphragm drivers, accompanied by built-in microphones. While it doesn’t feature active noise cancellation (ANC), it does offer ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for voice calls. The speaker system produces frequencies between 20Hz and 20kHz and supports both AAC and SBC audio codecs.
The headphones come with Bluetooth 5.4, which provides a stable connection range of 10 meters, though I found that it can extend up to 15 meters in a straight line from the source. The sound quality is clear, with especially strong bass in the Deep Bass mode. Additionally, the TOZO app allows you to adjust the bass and treble to suit your preferences, further enhancing the listening experience.
Connectivity & Battery Life
The TOZO HA1 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4, offering a stable and reliable connection. It’s possible to connect the headphones to your smartphone and another device simultaneously through the TOZO app, making it convenient for multitasking between music and calls. For wired use, the headphones can also be connected via the 3.5mm audio cable, allowing for direct analogue-quality sound from the source.

The unit is powered by a 400mAh battery, which provides up to 75 hours of playtime at 50% volume on a single charge. Charging the headphones takes around two hours using the USB Type-C cable included in the package.
Comfort
Comfort is key for long listening sessions, and the TOZO HA1 performs well in this regard. The well-padded ear cups, covered in soft synthetic leather, offer a comfortable fit. The adjustable headband with its plush cushioning minimizes pressure on the head, making it easy to wear the headphones for extended periods. Weighing in at around 250 grams, the headset is lightweight and prevents fatigue. However, the ear cups can become warm during prolonged use, which might cause some sweating. Personally, I would prefer the ear cups to be slightly larger, to fully cover my ears while still leaving some space between the ear and the ear cup. This may not be an issue for most users, but those with larger heads or ears might experience a tighter fit.
Customization

In addition to the dedicated EQ button on the ear cups, further customization is possible through the TOZO app. The app’s EQ feature offers 16 sound modes, along with a personalized EQ setting that can be saved. You can also update the headphones’ firmware via the app, ensuring that the device stays up to date with the latest improvements and features.
Microphone
The TOZO HA1 features ENC for call noise reduction, which ensures clear voice communication by minimizing background noise. The microphone effectively captures your voice, making conversations clearer during calls.
Price, Packaging, and Value

The TOZO HA1 is priced at $29.99. Despite its affordable price point, it offers excellent sound quality, a solid build, and a range of useful features. The package includes the TOZO HA1 wireless over-ear Bluetooth 5.4 headphones, a 3.5mm audio cable, a charging cable, a quick guide, and a user manual. Given the price and the performance, the TOZO HA1 provides outstanding value for budget-friendly, high-quality headphones.
