Soundcore, part of Anker Innovations, has become a rising star in the electronics market. They consistently provide excellent quality products at affordable prices. In March 2024, Soundcore introduced the AeroFit and AeroFit Pro wireless earbuds. I had the opportunity to try the AeroFit Pro. I used the device daily for over a week, listening to music and making calls for 1-4 hours each day. The device is specifically made for consumers for workout or outdoor leisure and this is an open-type earbud.
Design & Specifications
The AeroFit Pro’s design reflects a new trend toward open-ear true wireless earbuds. The device appeals to those who dislike the blocked sensation from in-ear silicon tips. The AeroFit case measures 79.56 X 65.27 X 24.24mm and weighs 64.28 grams. Each earbud measures 56.59 X 34.6 X 18.93mm and weighs 12.23 grams.

The case features a 750 mAh battery, providing 46 hours of playback on a single charge. Each earbud contains a 105 mAh battery, offering 14 hours of playback per charge. The case fully charges in 2 hours, while the earbuds charge in 1 hour. A quick 10-minute charge in this case provides 5.5 hours of playtime. With an IPX5 rating, the AeroFit Pro earbuds are water-resistant and sweat-proof but not fully submersible. The case does not share this protection rating.

The device features matte black ABS plastic covers with the Soundcore logo. The earbuds have 16.2mm Dynamic Drivers made from Titanium Polymer. The earbuds connect via Bluetooth 5.3 and support dual device connections. They are compatible with smartphones running Android 5.1 and above, with a range of 10 meters. The earbuds support AAC, SBC, and LDAC audio codecs and various audio profiles like AVRCP1.6, A2DP1.3, and HFP1.7. They can operate in temperatures from -10℃ to 60℃ (14°F to 140°F).
The package includes a neckband with magnetic pins and an adjustable band for a secure fit during physical activity. However, I found the earbuds stayed in place well without it.
Packaging

The AeroFit Pro comes in a four-colour printed rectangular box in Soundcore’s brand colours—Sky Blue and White. The box features an image of the device. The back of the box provides all the device details and highlights the Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds feature.

Upon opening the case, you will find a sky-blue Quick Start Guide. Below the guide, the AeroFit Pro earbuds are encased in a translucent cover, alongside the neckband. Underneath, you will find a USB Type-C cable and a box containing the warranty card.
Case Design

The AeroFit Pro case has a pebble-like design with a matte black ABS plastic cover. Its rounded edges allow it to fit perfectly in a pocket. The only branding on the case is the Soundcore logo in a mirror finish on the top. The case features a USB Type-C port and a button to open it.

A thin white LED light indicates charging and opening. The earbuds come with some charge, allowing immediate connection after removal from the box. However, I recommend fully charging the device before connecting it to your smartphone. Press the button on the case to connect the device. Download the Soundcore App from the App Store or Google Play Store and follow the connection procedure.
Earbuds Design and Fit

The AeroFit Pro earbuds fit on the ear, with the speaker unit hanging in front. The hook-shaped design makes it best to put them on in a rotating motion around the back of your ear. Attaching the magnetic neckband is simple, and you can easily adjust the tension while wearing the whole setup.
Each earbud has two physical buttons to control various features. Placing the earbuds back in the charging case and closing the lid automatically disconnects them from your device. I wish the earbuds had an angled rotating hinge near the speaker unit. This would help direct the sound more towards the ear canal, reducing sound leakage
Comfort
The AeroFit Pro earbuds are very comfortable for long hours of use. They are the first pair of earbuds I found comfortable, even while lying down or sleeping. Typically, in-ear earbuds cause slight pain or irritation in such situations. Conversely, while working on my computer for hours, the long battery life and comfort significantly helped me
Using the Soundcore App

Pairing the earbuds was simple. The AeroFit Pro earbuds appear in the Soundcore App once paired. The app shows the battery levels of the left and right earbuds and the case. The app also offers equalizer settings, controls, and features. Under sound effects, you get options like Soundcore Signature, Acoustic, Bass Booster, Volume Booster, Classical, and Custom. The app also suggests how to wear the earbuds and adjust the neckband.
Additional features include dual connections and volume balance. Under the Spatial Effect, you will find two options—Fixed and Head Tracking. There is also a Music mode and a Movie mode. You can use the preferred audio quality LDAC. The app takes a few seconds to set this up again and suggests more battery usage compared to combined audio and connection quality.
Audio Quality

I tested the Soundcore AeroFit Pro for hours across different music genres, including Country, Jazz, Rock, R&B, Soul, Metal, Lounge, Techno, House, Hindi Classical, and Bollywood. The tests included Hi-res quality 24-bit 96kHz and 320kbps MP3 music and multiple movies. These open-type earbuds do not seal sound as in-ear earbuds with silicone tips or over-ear headphones do. The sound quality is loud, clear, and crisp
Spatial Effect Testing

In the Soundcore App, you can access sound effects, including Spatial Effects. There are two options—Fixed and Head Tracking. With both options, the app software creates a hall effect for the audio. With Head Tracking ON, the music shifts from the left to the right ear when you move your head. This effect is good for watching a movie. Under Music and Movie modes, the sound changes. Music mode increases the treble, which I found quite annoying. In Movie mode, the treble gets reduced, and vocals increase with a hall effect. I was not impressed with this effect. I prefer the Soundcore Signature mode, which is balanced.
Call Quality
For all call testing via smartphone Bluetooth, the vocals were clear, with especially clear bass. Additionally, both listening and speaking were clear in a home environment. However, I have not used the device in a noisy environment, so I cannot comment on that. Being open-type earbuds, there will be sound leakage, and external sounds will enter the ear
Who Should Buy AeroFit Pro Earbuds?

The AeroFit Pro is perfect for those who want earbuds for workouts, outdoor exercise, and strenuous activities. The open-ear design allows air circulation, maintaining body balance. The AeroFit Pro earbuds hang on your ear, making them very comfortable for long hours. They do not irritate the ear canal, unlike in-ear earbuds. With Bluetooth 5.3, you have a 10-meter connection range, allowing you to keep your music source (smartphone or player) while working out. The IPX5 rating protects the earbuds from dust and sweat. The additional adjustable neckband helps secure them around your head during running or heavy exercises.
Important notice: Long exposure to loud music/noise near your ear can damage your hearing and possibly the risk of noise-induced hearing loss. So to avoid such conditions, please read about it in the link for your safety and if possible share it with your friends.
Price and Availability

The AeroFit Pro earbuds launched at AED 349 and are available in black. You can find them on Amazon.ae, the Anker store, and major retail outlets.
Conclusion

I recommend the AeroFit Pro for workouts, outdoor exercise, and leisure activities where you need awareness of your surroundings. The speaker quality is good, and music lovers will find comfort in the open-type earbuds. The IPX5 rating makes them splash, sweat, and dust resistant, but they cannot be submerged in water. They support Hi-Res audio and 24-bit audio with dedicated settings in the Soundcore app. They work with dual connectivity with source devices. You have the Spatial audio effect with music and movie settings.
The Pro version provides an adjustable neckband for a better secure fit. The earbuds have good battery life on a single charge. Honestly, even without the neckband, the earbuds were quite secure over the ear. Overall, given the price, build quality, sound, and battery life, I highly recommend them. Specifically, they are ideal for people who work out, exercise outdoors, need to be aware of their surroundings, and, moreover, find in-ear silicone tip earbuds uncomfortable for long usage.
