Design & Specification
The ASUS NUC 15 Pro+ features a premium dark grey aluminum finish with minimalist aesthetics. It is built from sustainable materials, offering enduring quality with Eco-conscious design. It feels solid, modern, and fits into both home and office setups. The device has dimensions of 144 × 112 × 42 mm and weighs 600 grams.
The device is powered by Intel Core Ultra Processors (Series 2) 9 285H with 32GB RAM and an Intel Arc 14OT 16GB (128GB graphics card). It features 1TB SSD storage with Windows 11 Pro + CoPilot. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The advanced thermal design ensures ultra-quiet cooling with 1.2x reduced noise. On the back side, it features two HDMI ports, two USB Type-C ports, one 10G USB Type-A port, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, a Kensington lock, a 2.5G Ethernet port, and a power port. On the front side, it has a 20G USB Type-C port, two 10G USB Type-A ports and a power button.
The Review
This device was officially announced on March 19, 2025, and it became widely available through retailers around late March to May 2025. I received the device for review from the ASUS Middle East team a few weeks ago. I tested the device for my regular PC work, which involves creating articles and posting them online.
Packaging
The ASUS NUC 15 Pro Plus arrived in beautiful packaging, which is semi-eco-friendly, featuring a matte-finish plastic cover and multi-colour foil embossing on the exterior. The packaging box features a nearly square design.
The box opens from the side, like a book, revealing the device and another box containing all the accessories. Remove the device and accessories box. Inside the accessories box, you will find the metal plate and screws for attaching to the wall or any frame. It comes with a warranty card, power adapter and power cable.
The Usage
The ASUS NUC 15 Pro Plus features a military-grade body with two side grills, which help to cool the device. The device is compact, sleek, and stylish, and can fit anywhere on your table, behind the table, or even be used for digital signboards or any place where space is an issue for a large CPU box.
The device was tested for 3 weeks. I am writing this review using this device, which features 16GB RAM and a fast SSD drive with a powerful Intel chipset. Everything worked with ease. With the co-pilot, I could use the AI, and it worked with ease.
Home Usage
ASUS NUC 15 Pro Plus can a perfect CPU for the consumer house computer, If you have one or two monitors and want to connect them for usage. This device can be extremely suitable for a compact table. No need to buy a large computer table that has space for a big CPU box. As this device is compact and has a military grade body, it can be kept on the table or even hung on the wall with the provided accessory plate and screws.
I am not sure, but I think you can place your light monitor on the ASUS NUC 15 Pro Plus, as the air flow intake and out flow are on the sides, and the top is a solid plate with no vents or buttons. All you need to add is a wired or wireless keyboard and mouse, and you are ready to work.
Students can use it as it has support for AI with Co-pilot and even play online games to a certain degree of gaming computing power.
(Just a suggestion: Don’t use it as your coffee coaster or any liquid-based product; it is solid and strong, but not waterproof or spill-resistant)
Office Usage
The office space is made compact, and desk areas are kept cramped. My old desktop computer, with its large CPU unit, was placed on the floor, cramped beside my leg. The CPU was unknowingly hit by me, or my leg was hurt while getting up or sitting on the chair. These kinds of issues will not happen now with this solid, compact ASUS NUC 15 Pro Plus. Also, as mentioned above, the size of the device is compact, robust and silent, which makes it excellent for the office.
Option to Upgrade
The most important thing for office use is to have the option to upgrade the storage and RAM. The ASUS NUC 15 Pro Plus can be easily upgraded, thanks to its bottom plate, which opens up, allowing IT technicians to change the RAM and storage with ease due to the Spring-loaded hinge. There are two M.2 slots available: one M.2 2280 PCIe x4 (PCIe 5.0 for Core Ultra Series, or PCIe 4.0 for Core Series CPUs) and one M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 x4 for compact SSDs. This dual-slot configuration allows users to add or swap SSDs for higher capacity or performance.
The financial team and office staff who need to use two monitors can utilise this device, which features two HDMI ports and 20G USB Type-C ports. So you can hook up two monitors and still have more ports for other connectivity.
The Kensington lock on the front side lets you secure the device to the table and protect it from theft. Also, the office IT team can store multiple CPUS in one place or cupboard, as there is no need for a big room dedicated to big desktop CPU units like in the past. They can also easily change and transfer multiple devices from one office to another.
Hoarding & Display Usage
In the digital era, the hoarding and display units on the road and in shops are becoming digital, as this approach is more effective and engaging with customers. Earlier versions of display units featured a static design of images with simple transitions, and technicians could add content using a simple box with a USB port. As technology improved and advertisers demanded more interactive, engaging, and larger display advertisements, they started using more powerful systems and connectivity directly controlled from IP servers in advertising offices. Running multiple content streams on multiple hoardings or displays requires a powerful, compact, and solid CPU unit with sufficient RAM and storage. The ASUS NUC 15 Pro Plus serves perfectly in such scenarios, especially for high graphics-oriented display and advertising.
As the unit is military grade casing, it should not matter for internal usage in the malls or shop displays. I am uncertain about outdoor conditions due to the multiple factors of wind, dust, heat, and rain.
Price
The ASUS NUC 15 Pro Plus is already available in the UAE for AED 3179. It is also available on electronic retail stores and other e-commerce stores.
