HONOR Magic7 Pro Cameras
Primary Camera details

The HONOR Magic7 Pro has triple cameras: 50.0 MP + 50.0 MP + 200 MP. It has autofocus and OIS and apertures of F1.4 to F2.6. The camera has an Optical Zoom of 3x and a Digital Zoom of up to 100x.)
Testing the Primary Triple Camera
Let us discuss the main cameras, which are triple cameras. The main cameras of the Honor Magic7 Pro performed excellently.

I reviewed the device in broad daylight and at night and tested it in low-light areas, as the camera supports very low-light exposure. The AI technology and effects corrected and produced higher-quality images, as the lens is relatively small compared to a professional digital camera with a bigger lens.
The primary camera can record 4K video recording at 30 fps (7680×4320), 240 FPS and 120 fps slow-motion at 1080p It supports HDR10+ recording, has a digital zoom of up to 100x, and 50MP still photos with 0.5 to 3x zoom. The primary camera sensor captured the images and reproduced them with vibrant colours. Under the photo and video mode, you have presets of 0.6, 1x and 3x. Under the video mode, you have super steady ON/OFF mode, and you can use it to record QHD & FHD mode, which can record 60 fps and 30 fps. The Still and Video can be shot in 9:16, 4:3 and 1:1 ratio.
The camera clicks 50 MP, which clicks 16384 x 12288p at 72dpi image, and file size 33MB.
I have clicked the moon, and AI segmentation boosts the clarity to bring out the clarity of the moon.
While testing the night shot, I clicked the plants and surrounding area of my building during the Full Moon, so the light you see falling on the plant is from the moon.
These shots are from my indoor balcony, where the faint light comes from the tube light in the living room and passes through the film-coated sliding window.
Here is a shot where I clicked inside my car; the tissue box was lying on the co-passenger side floor and was quite dark, and I could not see the box with my eyes.

The HONOR Magic7 Pro comes with a Harcourt preset, which provides a ready-to-use colour LUT and setting. This allows you to click images like a professional photographer with little knowledge of lighting and angles.
The camera also has additional settings under “More,” where you can click with Aperture mode, Movie mode, which provides a specific colour tone to the video, Slow-Motion, Panorama, Light Painting, Lapse, sticker, Super macro and High-Res.

You can do Multi-video and story, which is great for vlogging. Stage mode helps control the light setting and stabilize the camera lens for better and sharper image and video quality, and it supports scanning documents.
Overall, I am impressed with the camera output, colours, and accuracy of the primary camera’s focus.
Front (Selfie) Camera details

The HONOR Magic7 Pro has a single camera of 50.0 MP. It has autofocus and a 3D Depth Camera with gyro-EIS.
Testing the Cameras
When I received the HONOR Magic7 Pro smartphone, I used it to click images in daylight and shoot pictures and videos at night.

The HONOR Magic7 Pro performs well with a 50MP Front Camera (f/2.0) + 3D Depth Camera. The colours of the images were great, and the selfies were good. There are two modes – 1x and wide-angle 0.8. The wide angle is not very wide but captures slightly more than the 1x mode. The camera has instant face detection and focus. You can click selfie motion image or video. You can use a timer to click a snap and flash mode, brightening the screen as light. Under shooting mode, you can click images and videos by pressing the volume button, voice commands, floating shutter button and showing your palm (hand gestures). The selfie camera has video gyro-EIS stabilisation. The front camera can shoot videos at 4K@30/60fps and 1080p@30/60fps. Testing the front (Selfie) Camera
The Honor Magic7 Pro has a single 50.0 MP camera and a 3D depth camera. The focus capture of the selfie camera was excellent. Even while clicking a selfie in sunlight, the camera adjusted the lighting condition and could provide a well-lit image with my face visible. The Selfie camera has a beautify mode, blur option, and preset LUT colour options for size. The selfie camera has eight different filter modes by which the user can change a few face contours, such as big eyes, thinner jawline, smoothing, brightening, toning, touchup, smaller nose, and trimmer head. The selfie camera clicks images in the night, portrait, and photo modes. You can use wide angles of 0.8 and 1x.

You can shoot 4K and 1080p selfie videos at 30 FPS. You can also shoot selfie videos with six filter options and beautify mode. You can also use wide-angle lenses 0.5 and 1x. For low-light Selfie photography, the camera adjusts the lighting using the screen brightness. The 3D camera provides focus and, most importantly, security for face unlocking, which is supposed to be more secure than the basic single-camera face unlock.
The colour, lighting, and sharpness of the selfie image were excellent, and even when testing the selfie video against the sun, the camera produced excellent results.
Body Details

The right side of the body has volume rockers and a power button, which doubles for Gemini Voice (voice assistant). The left side doesn’t have any buttons. The bottom has a dual SIM card tray and a USB Type-C port with a mic and speaker. On the top side is a mic, an earpiece, and a speaker grill, which doubles as a speaker when holding the phone horizontally.
The phones come with NFC and support Google Pay and/or NFC Membership cards. The device supports Wireless Charging and has a battery of 5850 mAh.
HONOR Magic7 Pro Hardware

The Honor Magic7 Pro released in this region has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform with Adreno 830, which scored excellently on the benchmark. The device came with Magic OS 9.0, based on Android 15. It has a HONOR C2 communication chip, an S1 security chip, and a power enhancement E2 chip. The transition, opening, and closing of the apps happened with ease. It comes with a 5850mAh battery that can last more than 2+ days with heavy usage of calls, surfing the internet, and watching videos.
It supports fast wireless charging, 100W wired charging, and 80-watt wireless charging with a HONOR super wireless charger. The device comes with HONOR Share, where you can wirelessly share files, images, and documents with HONOR devices. You can also wirelessly print documents with wireless printers and share files with computers on the same network.

The device I got for review is the 12GB RAM with 12GB RAM Plus, which comes with 512GB ROM (storage). It has Bluetooth BT5.4, BLE, SBC, AAC, LDAC, APTX, APTX HD, and a Zoom-in Mic, which makes it practical for recording videos.
The Magic7 Pro has a Dual stereo speaker setup and supports DTS:X Ultra sound effects. The phone also has a HONOR Surround Subwoofer, which I have tested is excellent for smartphones compared to other flagship phones.
The phone has an IP68 / IP69 rating, so you can use it in the pool or the desert. It is protected from tiny drops (4ft—5 ft.), but I am unsure about higher drops. It can take some heavy splash water pressure.
HONOR Magic7 Pro AI Features

The HONOR Magic7 Pro comes with the latest AI features, which identify objects, scenes, and light and correct the colour and intensity of the lighting. It has a Google Circle feature, by which you can choose an object like a handbag or flower and get information. It also suggests buying options and websites.
The AI colour correction, especially at night, was excellent. But sometimes, I prefer the Pro mode to click images, as I don’t want to add unwanted brightness or colour correction.
Google Gemini Live

The Magic7 Pro comes with Google Gemini. By pressing the power button for 2 seconds, a pop-up screen appears at the bottom of the display. You can type your question or press “Gemini Live” to interact directly with your phone, even interrupting to change your question. I feel that this Google feature is still in its early stages.
AI Deepfake Detection
The HONOR Magic7 Pro comes with a built-in AI deepfake detection feature. This means the phone can analyse video calls in real time and detect if someone on the other end uses a deepfake to impersonate someone else. This valuable security feature can help protect users from scams and other malicious activities.
Benchmark Test Results
The HONOR Magic7 Pro was tested on various benchmark apps. The Geekbench 6 CPU scored a Single-core Score of 3113 and a Multi-Core Score of 9224. On Geekbench AI Score, it got a Single Precision Score of 1371, a Half Precision Score of 1434, and a Quantized Score of 2446. 3DMark score: Solar Bay scored 11468, Steel Nomad Light scored 2519, and PCMark scored 19087. The AI Benchmark Score was 9894.
Overall Verdict
The HONOR Magic7 Pro was tested for over 20 days and performed excellently. It has the best features the Android 15 can provide, including AI. My device came with 12GB RAM with 12GB RAM Plus and 512GB storage, which is a workhorse for anyone from business people to gamers, vloggers, photographers and videographers. And it is IP68-rated. So, the HONOR Magic7 Pro is perfect for the new generation who want all the AI and support from Google’s features. According to my benchmark score, it is the highest I have got on any smartphone I have reviewed so far.
The HONOR Magic7 Pro wins the Editor’s Choice Award for its hardware build quality, camera system, AI features, Stereo great sound, performance speed, and storage.
