There was a time when a watch was worn for showing time or as an accessory to be part of a person’s clothing. With the advent of technology, the watch became digital and later with changes and upgrades became smart with a lot of features. Every year, we will find new upgrades and additions to the smartwatches. Nowadays, smartwatches are coming with a heart rate monitor, SPo2 monitor, barometer, weather, exercise mode, step counts and a lot more.
The smartwatches are now divided into fitness bands, fitness watches and big smartwatches. I have been sent the Fitbit versa 4 fitness smartwatch for review
The Review
The Fitbit versa 4 fitness smartwatch was globally launched around September 2022, and it was launched along with Fitbit Sense 2. The Fitbit versa 4 fitness smartwatch comes in a colour-printed box with the fitness watch image printed on the box on the backside you have the image of a smartphone and Fitbit watch. On the sides, it has a mention of the 6-month Fitbit premium membership, and the size of the watch is 24mm. On the other side, it has mentioned the Fitbit watch graphite aluminium case and black infinity band. It also mentions the inclusion of small and large-size bands and other details.
The box opens by sliding the inner box out of the sleeve cover from the bottom. The inside box is white in colour and has the Fitbit logo embossed on transparent plastic. The white box opens like a book which has the fitness watch in the centre, and the left side has the extra silicone-based infinity band. On the right side, you have a magnetic thimble with a USB Type-A pin. You will also find the quick start guide and product information.
The Fitbit versa 4 fitness smartwatch comes with a dimension of 1.5in (L) x 1.5in (W) and a very slim thickness of 0.45in. It weighs around 198 grams. The watch is so slim and thin, you don’t feel like you are wearing anything on your hand. The squarish design and rounded edges make you very comfortable and don’t trouble you while you sleep. The Fitbit versa 4 fitness smartwatch comes with Colour AMOLED Display which has a very smooth touchscreen function. The graphite aluminium casing comes with a multi-functional button on the left side.
The display screen is curved on the edges and merges with the casing. The watch is water resistant up to 50m. The watch’s operating temperature is -25°C to 45°C. The watch comes with a 162mAh battery which can last 6 days+ battery life. The charging of the watch takes around 1 hour to 2 hours with 4 points powerful magnetic thimble.
The watch is compatible with iOS and Android devices with Fitbit App.
The silicone wristband buckle is a different kind compared to what I have reviewed in other brand watches. The band passes through the silicone & metal buckle clip and goes inside the band and an extra band loop is not required. The wristband is very comfortable and keeps the watch secure on the wrist which also helps to get a proper reading from the user’s wrist.

Usage Review.
The pairing of the Fitbit versa 4 fitness smartwatch was quite simple and easy to install. Download the Fitbit App from iOS or Google Play Store. Follow the procedure and connect the smartphone to the App via Bluetooth. The watch comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and has a range of 30ft connectivity.
I have used the watch for more than 2 weeks. The battery lasted more than 6 days of usage. The watch gives a notification about idle seating and suggests no steps taken. When I started walking, after 10-15mins, the watch detected I was walking and gave a vibration and notified me and automatically started the walking count with the timer. The data was collected and frequently informed the progress of the walk and on the App. I activated all the text notifications on my watch and it helped me during the busy meeting time. Smartwatch On-wrist Bluetooth calls help me to choose calls to answer or decline.
Overall, the usage review experience was excellent and the comfort level of wearing it during sleep was amazing.
Verdict
The Fitbit versa 4 fitness smartwatch is amazing and excellent. This fitness smartwatch would be perfect for anybody who would like to monitor their health, and fitness and collect data on their daily lives. The size, weight and thickness of the watch are perfect for my hand and comfortable for continuous usage even during sleep. The design is stylish and can go along with most of the types of clothes you wear in your daily life which includes all genders.
