Many well-known smartphone brands have stopped providing wall-unit chargers along the phone, and the consumer has to buy the charger separately from the e-shops or retail outlets. Brands assume that consumers will have their earlier charges which they bought with their earlier phone but the new smartphones come with a higher fast-charging capacity which will charge with earlier old low charging capacity. So the only option remains for the consumer to purchase the same smartphone brand wall-unit charger or buy from a 3rd party, which can provide additional options like charging the phone, laptops, and more with multiple charging ports.
Anker has introduced many products in the Middle East market, quietly reducing their size and weight while increasing their power output. They’ve put out tiny phone chargers, versions with half a dozen USB ports, and models with enough juice to charge any laptop without breaking a sweat.

What is the GaN Technology?
Gallium nitride (GaN) is a wide bandgap semiconductor used for high-efficiency power transistors and integrated circuits. By growing a thin layer of aluminum gallium nitride (AlGaN) on top of a GaN crystal, a strain is created at the interface that induces a compensating two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG).
As mentioned on the inside of the box flap – Powered by GaN 2 technology which increases the working frequency of the GaN by 100%, allowing the charger to generate less heat and be shrunk down more than ever.

Verdict

Both the devices Anker 733 Power Bank – PowerCore (GaNPrime 65W) and Anker 736 Nano II 100W Charger, are recommended for consumers who require wall unit chargers. If they don’t have chargers provided by the smartphone brand. Also, both the chargers can charge new USB-C type power ports of laptops which is excellent, as you don’t need to carry an additional laptop charger. For travellers, who are always on the move and need to charge their phone and laptop from time to time. Anker 733 Power Bank – PowerCore (GaNPrime 65W) has got built-in 10000mAh battery which also helps to charge your mobile when you are on the move and don’t have access to the wall plug. But you can’t charge the laptop in portable mode. While testing Anker 733, it performed very well. But for Anker 736 charger which is 100W as mentioned on the package, didn’t get the expected speed compared to Anker 733 on my review devices.
Overall, the products are sturdily built, compact and easy to carry and perfect for business people, travellers and people who want a single charger for smartphones and laptops.
