New Honor Flagship smartphone, Honor 9 comes with Dual 20MP cameras expected in UAE & KSA maybe in 2 months

More news about smartphones and here comes the new flagship phone from Honor (a E-brand company of Huawei). Today (28-6.2017), Honor launched a new smartphone Honor 9, it the more powerful and strong compared to the predecessor Honor 8.

The launch was in Berlin, Germany and embodying the slogan “Beautifully Brilliant,” the Honor 9 boasts a gorgeous 3D glass back and a metal bezel that creates a subtle metal aurora.

The President of Honor – George Zhao said “2017 has brought a renaissance in smart phone design, and the Honor 9 is a trend-setting device that brings the best of fashion, craftsmanship, and engineering together. The contemporary design, stunning light reflection effect, and the futuristic colors of the Honor 9 will let millennials stand out and express their fierce individuality.”

As per the people who had their hands on the product, it suppose to be all-round glass design, though it’s been upgraded with 3D curved glass on the back, making the phone more comfortable to hold. The sides are made of curved metal, and match the colour of the front and back.

The new Honor 9 features with a 5.15-inch Full HD display with 2.5D glass and is powered by the Kirin 960 octa-core chipset. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM with either 64 or 128 GB of space. The storage can be expanded for an additional 256 GB with the help of a microSD card.

The Honor 9 has with a dual-camera setup on the back that features 20 MP (monochrome) and 12 MP (RGB) sensors. can capture stills at 5120 x 3540px and 4K video at 3840 x 2160px. There’s also an 12 MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture, honor 9 has 2x  Hybrid Zoom functionality too, 3264 x 2448px and HD video at 1920 x 1080px. It comes with  3,200 mAh battery, Android 7.0 Nougat with Huawei’s EMUI 5.1 skin, and an AKM Hi-Fi audio chip that suppose to give 360 degree audio experience.

Expected to release in  four color options: Blue, Amber Gold, Gray, and Black.

The Dual Lens and flash placement is similar to Huawei P10, so much so that the finger print sensor has been moved to the front on the bottom like the P10 and P10 plus. But does not have the Leica lens branding like the P10. It weighs 155g, and measures 143x71x7.45mm.

Honor 9 supports USB-C fast charging, it comes with usual Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-fi and NFC and  the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Not sure but expecting the price range between AED1300 to AED 1800 as per price released in launch and converting into Dirhams.
