Recently, during a long vacation, I and my friends decided to take an overnight desert camp at Al Qudra Lake. The venue is beautiful and very scenic, but the area is quite big and doesn’t have electricity in all the places. So I spoke to my friend who arranged the Anker 535 Portable Power Station for the camping. The device came in a box which weighed 8.6 kg (Gross) and had a Car Cable adapter and a G-type Plug cable with an adapter for charging the device.
The device comes with grey blackish casing and it weighs 7.6kg. The Anker 535 Portable Power Station looks like a big old radio design and instead of the radio frequency rectangular bar, it has a warm white LED light. The device has a car adapter charging socket, USB Type-A, and USB Type-C ports and charge.
It has two G-Type AC Plug pins for connecting general electrical devices like lights, an audio boom box or any electrical device that a consumer would carry with them for camping. The device has an LCD screen to see the level of the battery, Safe Mode, and Temperature Alert. Indicator of usage of USB Type C & A input/output, AC charging and voltage frequency, remaining battery life, recharging time, Current power input and output.
On the back, you have the DC input for charging the Anker 535 Portable Power Station. You can charge the device from an AC electric plug or connect it with solar charging panels and even from a car.
We took our cars and parked beside the dirt road and took our camping tents and other barbeque stuff. Then we connected the camping outdoor LED light and battery-powered speaker. The Anker 535 Portable Power Station lasted the whole evening till the next day morning with still 33% battery left. Even with the dew condensation falling on the device, it didn’t affect the device.
I would suggest all regular campers think about the Anker Portable Power Station as a go-to item for camping and long-distance travelling. Sometimes the overuse of the car battery during camping may cause problems to start the car with battery breakdown. The portable power station can be useful to power up the electric kettle, projector, electric air pump, laptop charging, audio player and other electric devices.
